Kevin has a bit of power to spare. That's what happens when you drop a ton of weight. You keep that "big man" strength and enjoy all the power that went along with carrying a 100 extra lbs with you every where you went. Here is a video of Kevin muscling out 400 watts at the end of a ramp test. Looks pretty comfortable to me...what do you think? What out for Kevin in 2011! He is looking to rip apart a few group rides this spring.
I've been working with Paul for some time and I'm very proud of where he is at and what he has been able to accomplish in a short period of time. Here is a video of Paul cranking out some solid wattage on the indoor trainer. Nothing better than giving a big effort and getting rewarded with a big number afterwards. This is a fairly easy ladder drill. I have the ladies do it 3 times one way and I try and switch it up to have them laughing and tripping all over themselves. This video will give you an idea of what a bootcamp would look like with you and your friends. This kind of exercise is enjoyable for all ages and all levels of ability. This girl is tough! I meet with Kellie once a week and every week I'm blown away with how hard she works and her dedication to being in great shape. She gets up early to train everyday and then works all day at a pretty intense job. She comes home to her little ones and then even as tired as she is...she kicks some serious ass in the gym! And this little clip doesn't do her justice either!!
Waldon Moreau is working on becoming a very competitive triathlete like his mom. He has been apart of the Newmarket Eagle youth program I run the last 2 years and thinks I might be able to help him out on the bike. If I can get him biking as well has this kid can run we might have a future Tri - stud on our hands!
He might be wearing the wrong gear in this video and his Real Deal arm warmers might be on backwards but Paul Rea has come along way this year and I couldn't be more proud! We were out today and hit this climb 7 times. I got him to try it a few different ways and really made him work on his kick over the summit. I really enjoy working with people who can push themselves! Thanks for giving it your all big man!
You cant fake it on the step mill. I have said it before and I'll say it again..... when your working out....WORK OUT! If your reading a magazine or shooting the breeze with the knob beside you your not going to see results. Try reading on this machine, its a killer! Thats why its almost always empty and free to use
These are harder then they look. Adding the kick really cranks things up. Craig is seen here doing 20 of these bad boys and he fights through it like a champion!
I have been working with Jaimie now for a few months and she is truly a delight to be around. On top of being a very sweet happy person this 15yr female is really riding beyond her years. She has seen steady progress and even won her first road race and TT at the Newmarket Eagles Tour De Speed!
Here is a video of Tim Dayfoot finishing off a hard effort out on the road. Tim comes to me every once in a while just to get a little tune up before an event. Tim just got his new TT rig and came to me to work on his position and to get him in the right frame of mind for this weekend. He has seen tons of progress and I wish him the best of luck on Saturday.

Nothing better than working with someone who knows how to push themselves. Simon has a very high pain threshold, he can suffer with the best of them and in this sport it can take you many places. I have him doing a high seated effort to mimic the lead into a sprint, then he stands up and finishes off the interval. This is a very important workout for any level of rider and one that most rec level riders ignore. Let me show you how important a strong sprint is, give me a chance to prove to you that this might be the one area you need " a coach" to help you with.
Here is Paul Rea finishing off a very hard effort. Paul is looking to find that extra gear and I'm going to show him that hard work gets you everything. Finding his max and then training close to it will have Paul flying this year! If your not working this hard now please start!! Base miles are great but don't let that term give you an excuse to do nothing all off season. Your incredible base won't help you much when Paul puts the hammer down and decides to ride you off his wheel. Scott came back from the holidays ready to rock. He had a very active trip but was off the bike for a few days, I wanted to get him right back at it by challenging his will and fitness. 20 burst - 1 min rest then repeat. Scott was well over 500 watts for the full 20 seconds
Scott is so pumped about his numbers he's yelling them out to me!
Here is Simon in the Roman chair, if you haven't tried this they look a lot easier than they are. The first few are quite easy then once you hit the 8th -9th rep your begging to stop.

Last night we put on a functional fitness class and here are a few videos to prove it! Leigh had our grouping working on many different excercises they had never tried before and I was there to film, be drill sargent and comedy relief.
